Deadlifts for Doernbecher

Deadlifts for Doernbecher was an annual, non-sanctioned powerlifting exhibition and fundraiser event for Doernbecher Children's Hospital in Portland, Oregon. Hosted by Savage Barbell Club from the nearby city of Tigard, OR, Deadlifts for Doernbecher (stylized as D4D) initially started out as a small, weekend bbq meet for members, family, and friends of the club to raise funds for the Children's Hospital.

With each passing year, D4D grew, attracting more and more lifters, sponsors from local businesses, and news coverage. At the time of filming, D4D 2017 was the largest and most successful yet for Savage Barbell Club, with the event going on to raise over $30,000 for the Children's Hospital.
